We are Morningside Heights Resistance, an independent political group dedicated to promoting progressive policies and resisting the Trump Agenda. Our focus is to work on the local level with our Members of Congress and our city and state representatives following the general principles of the Indivisible Guide. Our primary areas of interest are flipping NJ-11 and ousting the members of the IDC. Our members live and/or work in Morningside Heights or nearby areas of Manhattan. New members who support our goals and principles are welcome.
We believe that human beings are endowed with a set of inalienable rights including the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. All people, regardless of race, class, or creed have a fundamental right guaranteed by society to a life of dignity in that pursuit.
